Texas high school golf team cancels practice after encountering strip club’s tournament on course
These kids came for iron clubs, not strip clubs!
A high school golf team in Austin, Tex. was forced to cancel practice after students ran into “lewd” strippers playing in a tournament sponsored by their jiggle joint, according to the school district.
Things went off course Monday when Vista Ridge High School golfers spotted dancers from the Yellow Rose strip club hitting balls in their skivvies at Avery Ranch Golf Club, the Leander Independent School District School District said, according to FOX 7 Austin.
“Unfortunately, our golfers did witness some lewd behavior,” the district said. “The coach immediately canceled practice and had all players contact their parents to come pick them up.”
The adult entertainment club — which bills itself as “a gentlemen’s club” with “tantalizing table dances” — had been holding its boozy annual tournament and awards ceremony from noon to 5 p.m.
The event featured “a complimentary bloody Mary bar,” “a swag bag” and “plenty of drinks,” according to a flier for the event.
The school’s head golf coach, Keith Allen, said folks from the club were acting “very inappropriately,” and that the school had not been informed it would be sharing the course with them.
He also canceled practice the following day due to the un-fore-tunate timing.
Reps from the strip club and the golf course didn’t immediately return requests for comment.
