Tom Brady’s fear with Gisele Bündchen divorce threatening ‘to get ugly’
If Tom Brady’s marriage to Gisele Bündchen is going to end, he wants it to end a certain way.
The Buccaneers quarterback is reportedly only lawyering up to protect himself, as the supermodel is the one “steering the divorce,” according to People.
“She is playing offense and he is playing defense,” a source told the outlet. “He wants to protect himself, protect his interests, but he’s only starting to go the legal route in his defense from her. He doesn’t want this to be ugly, he doesn’t want to fight. If the divorce is happening — and it seems like it is — he wants it to go as smoothly as possible.”
Last month, Page Six was first to report Brady and Bündchen’s marriage has been on the rocks for a few months following an “epic fight” over the quarterback’s decision to “un-retire” from the NFL.
On Tuesday, Page Six exclusively revealed that both parties hired divorce lawyers, as one source said, “I don’t think there will be any coming back now.”
Brady and Bündchen’s lawyers are looking at what a split will entail, and how their assets would be divided. The couple shares a $26 million property portfolio, among other lucrative assets.
“Think about it: Tom has had a very charmed life,” the source told People. “Things always seem to go his way. He works hard, he’s a good guy, he hasn’t had a lot of things go wrong in his life. This is awful for him. You can tell that this really, really hurts.”

Bündchen has made it clear that she worried about Brady playing football, and has also expressed concern over past concussions.
The pair — who share son Benjamin, 12, daughter Vivian, 9, as well as son Jack, 15, from one of Brady’s previous relationships — have been living separately while the quarterback is playing his 23rd season.

Furthermore, Bündchen has yet to attend any of Brady’s games this season.
The former Victoria’s Secret Angel, who usually sits in a private suite with the couple’s kids, did tweet well wishes to Brady and the Buccaneers in their season opener at Dallas last month.
