There’s some extra saucy drama at this McDonald’s.
A customer in a now-viral TikTok has claimed that an employee threw water in her face when she asked for extra sauce with her order.
User Kaileigh posted the 25-second clip — which occurred in the drive-through of the fast food restaurant — that picks up at what appears to be the end of an argument.
With the camera lens aimed at the pick-up window, Kaileigh implored, “So, I can’t have sauce?”
The employee — who looks furious — turns their back away from the driver.
Kaileigh goaded, “Yeah! You don’t like it, huh? You’re going to throw water on me?”
The McDonald’s worker then opened the window and hurled a large plastic cup of water towards the Kaileigh’s car.
Reaping what she showed, the driver gave an expectant thumbs-up.
“Whose calling the cops now?” she pressed on — ostensibly in reference to something that was said off-camera earlier. “Because I asked for some sauce?”
TikTokers were divided over the video — which was captioned “pro tip: @McDonald’s employees don’t like giving sauce” — with some pointing out she only started filming towards the end of the disagreement, and hasn’t clarified what went down before the camera started rolling.
“I feel [there’s] more to the story about this one,” one user wrote.
“Let’s see the video before it showed only one side,” said another, with someone else writing: “Full story what did u do before she did this.”
Others argued that a customer’s provocation should never be enough to warrant having a drink tossed in their face.
“As a fast food worker I can tell the worker is in the wrong tbh,” one claimed.
“It doesn’t matter the employee of a restaurant [threw] something at a customer,” said another. “That’s cause for being fired no matter what the other person did.”
