You get a goal. You get a goal. You get a goal.
The Rangers are scorching hot to open the season. Seventeen goals in four games and 16 goals in their three wins. The new-look lineup has had no issues putting pucks into the back of the net thus far. While it’s early, Mika Zibanejad and company are putting on quite the show for the Blueshirts faithful.
To break down the impressive 3-1 start to the season, we bring you a new episode of the “Up In The Blue Seats” podcast with Mollie Walker and me, including our weekly chat with The Post’s Hall of Fame hockey writer Larry Brooks.
Up In The Blue Seats Podcast with Jake Brown & Mollie Walker:
- HOT START: Rangers’ top six is producing big time. They need to tighten up a bit defensively.
- RETURNS: Frank Vatrano and Ryan Strome made their return to MSG Monday to nice ovations. David Quinn makes his return Thursday as the Sharks head coach. He was in a tough spot coaching a young team that did not have many expectations. He doesn’t have much of a promising roster now with San Jose.
- MAILBAG QUESTIONS: Mollie answers Post Sports+ questions on Dryden Hunt, the future of Vitali Kravtsov and Jarsolav Halak’s play.
Larry Brooks Interview:
NY Post Hockey Hall of Fame writer
- JIMMY VESEY: How has he played thus far?
- MIKA: Evolving into a shooter and playing with confidence. He has looked like one of the best players in the NHL.
- KAKKO: Learning how to play against different types of players and has come a long away from the player that was scratched in Game 6.
- PATRICK KANE: A trade will be difficult to make with the cap situation and the Rangers should not be trying to give up one of their better young players (Kakko, Alexis LaFreniere) for a rental.
