Robbers make it rain cash on a Chilean highway during police chase
A gambling hall robbery near Chile’s capital of Santiago ended with the thieves throwing a bag of money out onto the highway, showering the roadway with cash.
Surveillance video shows the suspects tossing a dark bag from a blue Chevrolet Sail barreling down the highway as they were tailed by cops in hot pursuit following the robbery in a gambling hall in the city of Pudahuel.
One of the police vehicles can be seen running over the bag in the heat of the chase, ripping it open and blanketing the lanes with Chilean pesos.

Officers in cop cars from further back in the chase then stop stopped traffic on the three-lane thoroughfare, and scamper to collect as much money as they could, but some of the money was blown away or picked up by bystanders.
Police later arrested six suspects.
The thieves reportedly swiped nearly 10 million Chilean pesos, or $10,300, according to local media.
