The Jets are winning on the field and at the box office.
After a 5-2 start to the season, the Jets said Thursday that they have a limited number of tickets left for their game Sunday against the Patriots at MetLife Stadium and have completely sold out their Nov. 6 game against the Bills.
“We’re excited that the fans are passionate and are coming out and supporting the team,” team president Hymie Elhai said. “It’s great. It’s been, obviously, a long time coming particularly after the COVID year and last year was a tough year in certain respects. We clearly value that support and we’re hopeful that it continues to trend upward.”
The last time the Jets had a home sellout was Oct. 13, 2019 when they beat the Cowboys.
The Jets have energized their fan base this season with their strong start. They are riding a four-game winning streak and posted back-to-back wins at Green Bay and Denver over the last two weeks. Now, they will face the division rival Patriots, a team they have not beaten since 2015.
The team expects a raucous environment for the game and is asking fans to get inside the stadium early to make it loud from the start.
“I think the environment is going to be electric,” Elhai said. “One of the things we want our fans to do is to make sure that they get in there early for player intros and really start that home-field advantage for the players. If they can start getting that crowd early, I think that can make a big difference for the game.”
