Driver suffered life-threatening injuries during early-morning NYC crash
A man suffered life-threatening injuries during an early-morning crash in Queens, police said.
The accident occurred around 3:35 a.m. Saturday at the four-way intersection of Carson Street and 219th Street in Springfield Gardens, cops said.
The 30-year-old man was behind the wheel of a Nissan Maxima, traveling westbound on Carson Street, when he entered the intersection and collided with a Jeep Grand Cherokee driven by a 24-year-old man, police said.

The critically injured Nissan driver was taken to Jamaica Hospital with head trauma and internal injuries, police said. EMS treated the 24-year-old at the scene.
