Taylor Heinicke rocks chains, drinks Busch Light out of garbage-can cooler

Taylor Heinicke might’ve one-upped Kirk Cousins.

After Heinicke led the Washington Commanders to a stunning road victory over the NFC East-rival Philadelphia Eagles on Monday night, the quarterback was recorded wearing several chains and double-fisting Busch Lights.

Proving that any container could be a cooler if you try hard enough and pursue your dreams, Heinicke’s domestic suds were chilled in a garbage can filled with ice.

On Monday, Heinicke was 17-29 for 211 yards. He threw an interception and no touchdowns, but made the throws needed to for his team to pull off a major upset.

Washington has now won four out of five games to get to 5-5. Heinicke started the last four games after Carson Wentz suffered a fractured ring finger in a win against the Bears in October, and appears unlikely to relinquish the starting job back in the immediate term.

After starting the season 1-4, the Commanders have roared back to a half-game behind the San Francisco 49ers for the final playoff spot in the NFC.

Washington’s next three games, before their bye week, are a road game at Houston, a home tilt against Atlanta and a game at MetLife Stadium versus the Giants.

Heinicke’s chains celebration harkens back to Cousins dancing with chains – after the Vikings beat the Commanders last week. Perhaps a rivalry could be brewing should Cousins face his former team in the playoffs later this season.
