If you wanna be her lover, you gotta get stalked by her friend.
A woman has gone viral after uploading a series of videos of her stalking her best friend, who was on a first date for the first time in 15 years.
The videos — which were originally posted on Nov. 26 and have since exploded, raking in nearly 15 million views altogether — show TikTok user @Ohhemmagee and her boyfriend discreetly following the pair from a distance.
“When your friend goes on her first date in over a decade so you and your boyfriend have to make sure she’s safe,” reads text over the video.
The amateur sleuths wore hoodies and sunglass and even hid behind pillars from time to time to avoid being seen.
“This was fun 10/10 recommend stalking your friends on dates,” reads the caption.
One moment had users gasping for breath as both couples crossed paths but miraculously made no interaction.
The original video gained 9.5 million views since being posted.
According to a follow-up video posted later the next day and viewed nearly 4.5 million times, the shady spies were allegedly stopped by a passerby and asked what they were doing. “My boyfriend had to tell someone about us stalking our friend’s first date,” she wrote, noting the stranger became “invested” in the saga.
A third video features the woman who went on the date in the hot seat, with her friend grilling her about the outing.
“I don’t know. It’s a possibility,” Darlene said, in regards to having a second date.
Several users found the entire saga incredibly entertaining.
“Your boyfriend was so invested. Men love the drama too,” joked one user.
“You are the type of people we need in the world,” praised another.
“I went on a date and this girls friends were totally doing this and I happened to notice and now we are all friends,” commented one user. “This is awesome lol.”
Even the brand Lululemon took an interest in the video, writing “Carob Brown is the new camo,” in reference to the amateur investigator’s hoodie.
One user, however, did not find their antics funny at all.
“Y’all are walking red flags,” said one user.
