Phoenix cop accused of making porn while on duty
A Phoenix police officer is being investigated for allegedly making and distributing porn while he was on duty and working from home.
Officer Christian Goggans, 30, has allegedly been disseminating adult videos starring himself through a public Twitter page using the handle “Rico Blaze,” the station Arizona’s Family first reported, citing anonymous sources.
The “Rico Blaze” account has since been switched to a private setting, making it impossible to view its contents without the user’s permission.
Goggans writes of himself in the page description, which is still visible to the general public: “I create Art & my [eggplant emoji] is the pen.”
Goggans, originally from Ohio, reportedly began making porn in 2019, a year before he joined the police force in Phoenix.
While he was on home assignment, Goggans had been shuttling between Phoenix and Las Vegas, producing and starring in what have been described as extremely graphic X-rated videos.
The Phoenix Police Department has confirmed to the station that Goggans is now the subject of an open internal investigation, but the agency would not go into further detail.
According to the police, Goggans was on home duty before the start of the probe “for unrelated and non-disciplinary reasons.”
Phoenix police did not immediately respond to request for comment Tuesday. The officer could not be reached for comment.
