Aaron Rodgers is already wearing a Big Apple smile.
The quarterback was photographed out and about in Calabasas, Calif. on Monday, running some errands around the time of news of his trade from the Packers to the Jets broke.
Rodgers was wearing a wide grin as he picked up a coffee and some groceries at Erewhon Market around 1 p.m., West Coast time.
There is likely relief on all sides of the deal, which had seemingly stalled out after weeks of negotiations only to be finished off by the teams Monday afternoon.
The news was first reported by ESPN’s Adam Schefter around 4:15 ET.
The Jets will receive Rodgers — the QB they seemingly based many of their offseason personnel decisions around — and the Nos. 15 and 170 picks in the 2023 NFL Draft.
Going back to Green Bay is the No. 13 pick in Thursday’s first round, as well as the 207th overall selection and a conditional second-rounder in 2024, which could convey to a first-rounder if Rodgers plays 65% of the snaps next season.
From the looks of it, Rodgers is ready and willing in what will be the 39-year-old’s first snaps not wearing a Packers jersey after 18 NFL seasons.
The name on the front of the jersey won’t be the only difference for Rodgers: He’ll trade in his No. 12 — retired by the Jets for Joe Namath — for the No. 8 he wore collegiately at Cal.

“And I didn’t think today could get any better…… LETS GOOO,” McGovern wrote on Twitter.
