Don Lemon ignores reporters as he steps out with his dogs in NYC as fired CNN host spotted after shocking ousting
A smirking Don Lemon ignored reporters as he stepped out in Manhattan Tuesday — fresh off the news of his ouster from CNN.
Clad in a beanie and sunglasses, Lemon, 57, was seen with his partner Tim Malone and their three dogs in Hudson Yards, where they live, following news that the journalist has lawyered up, signaling a potential legal battle ahead.
The ex-anchor also wore a cream-colored jacket and black slacks as he walked along 11th Avenue pulling the three pups along behind.
He smirked as he ignored questions from Post reporters.
On Monday, the longtime primetime host said he was blindsided by news of his termination.
“I was informed this morning by my agent that I have been terminated by CNN,” he wrote on Twitter. “I am stunned. After 17 years at CNN I would have thought that someone in management would have had the decency to tell me directly.
“At no time was I ever given any indication that I would not be able to continue to do the work I have loved at the network,” he said. “It is clear that there are some larger issues at play.”
The network later fired back calling Lemon’s claims “inaccurate.”
“Don Lemon’s statement about this morning’s events is inaccurate,” CNN officials tweeted. “He was offered an opportunity to meet with management but instead released a statement on Twitter.”
Lemon was mired in a series of scandals at CNN, including infamously remarking that Nikki Haley was “past her prime” and clashing with his co-host Kaitlan Collins.
On Tuesday, the ex-anchor wore a knit cap, a cream-colored jacket and black slacks as he walked along 11th Avenue pulling the three pups along behind the pair.
