Nate Diaz is offering to change the fight card as only he can.
Diaz suggested that Jake Paul and KSI box each other following the legal troubles the MMA star now faces after he was seen on video fighting TikTok influencer Rodney Petersen in New Orleans.
KSI, a YouTube star and amateur boxer, responded to the report that Diaz — scheduled to box Paul on Aug. 5 — is facing an arrest warrant following the incident.
“Well, if that mean Jake won’t have an opponent in August…Then I’ll gladly come as the replacement after I KO Joe Fournier in May,” KSI tweeted.
“Great. I accept you as the backup opponent. Fight is at 185,” Paul responded. “There are no rehydration clauses. Stay in shape and we will give you a call if needed. Thanks buddy for being so humble and committed.”
Diaz, 38, did not take this exchange kindly.
“Lol why Dont u to scared p–sys just fight each other august I’ll fight someone who can really fight,” Diaz said after taking a screen grab of the exchange.
The brawl between Diaz and Petersen was Friday night after Diaz attended a Misfits Boxing card to support teammate Chris Avila.
It is unclear what started the argument.
Police told ESPN.com they were alerted to a “large altercation” at 2 a.m. on Bourbon Street.
“So, I don’t know what the hell I did to Nate Diaz,” Petersen said in a video posted on Twitter by Overflow.
“But I tell you what, I’m going to knock him the f–k out when I know he’s coming. You caught me off-guard dude. What’d you think I was Logan?”
Petersen getting physical revenge seems far-fetched, but Diaz has other issues now.
The New Orleans Police Department filed charges on suspicion of second-degree battery for Diaz, who appeared to choke Petersen out.
The Paul brothers spoofed the incident online and Jake called Diaz a “homeless Stockton man.”
The fight is currently scheduled for Aug. 5 in Dallas.
It will be Diaz’s first boxing match, while the 26-year-old Paul is coming off his first career loss to Tommy Fury.
