Megyn Kelly slams Kim Kardashian for bringing North West to ‘debauchery’-filled Met Gala
Megyn Kelly slammed Kim Kardashian for letting her 9-year-old daughter North West tag along to Monday’s “debauchery”-filled Met Gala so she can watch the barely-clad reality TV star walk the red carpet.
North, who was photographed alongside her 42-year-old mother as they left a Manhattan hotel for the annual event, watched from the car as Kardashian strode into the gala wearing a skimpy, formfitting gown “dripping in pearls.”
“Like is that what you want your daughter to see you doing?” Kelly said during Tuesday’s episode of the SiriusXM podcast of “The Megyn Kelly Show.”
“You want her to see you like basically wearing next to nothing, and parade to the Met Gala. Okay fine,” she continued.
“I’m sorry, but it’s gross.”
North was not permitted to attend the invite-only gala since the event is only for those over the age of 18.
Kelly, who went to the Met Gala in 2017, said she would never let her own children witness the risque outfits worn to the event.
“Some of us brought our kids to presidential debates and thought that might make a nice impression,” she said
“I went to the Met Gala,” Kelly added. “I’ve been to these events. I don’t take my kid.”
Kelly also railed against the “debauchery” she witnessed the time she attended the Met Gala.
She recalled seeing rapper Diddy and members of the Kardashian family wander into the women’s bathroom, where she claimed unnamed celebrity revelers engaged in “dry humping.”
“When I went [to the Met Gala], I went to the women’s bathroom to actually use the bathroom,” Kelly said.
“And it was all Kardashians and like P Diddy was there, and there was like dry humping going on [in the lady’s room],” Kelly said.
“It was really gross and classless, and I thought, ‘What am I doing here?'” Kelly said.
“Models were smoking in the bathroom of The Met. Get out! Put your cigarette away, you classless losers!”
The Met Gala, famed for its A-list celebrities and extravagant outfits, is a benefit for New York’s Metropolitan Museum of Art and marks the opening of the Costume Institute’s annual fashion exhibit.
This year’s event honored the late German fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld.
Actor Jared Leto paid homage to Lagerfeld’s beloved feline, Choupette, when he came dressed in an enormous, fluffy, white, blue-eyed Burmese cat mascot.
Rapper Lil Nas X took things a step further, arriving covered head to toe in metallic silver body paint, crystals and pearls along with a bejeweled cat mask.
Kelly was not impressed with the “Old Town Road” singer’s appearance.
“This is a man. What’s happening?” Kelly said.
“Most gay men I know wouldn’t be caught dead in that ridiculous catsuit, going up the butt, like showing a lot of cheek, a lot of frontal exposure,” she added.
“Showing your junk in public — it’s too much.”
