Knicks’ Josh Hart explains infamous breast milk ‘taste test’ to Stephen A. Smith

Josh Hart has zero regrets about taking a few sips of his wife’s breast milk.

In fact, the Knicks guard believes it might help with his three point shooting.

During an appearance on “Stephen A’s World” with Stephen A. Smith during Game 1 of the NBA Finals, Hart revealed that he was originally against sampling his wife’s breast milk — but when he did, he was pleasantly surprised.

“First off, I know every new father has wondered this,” Hart said when Smith pressed him about a previous tweet, in which he asked his 500,000-plus followers if they had tried their significant others’ breast milk.

“So we had family and fiends over, it was brought up,” Hart said. “I never did it. Somehow I got finessed into doing a little milk taste test.

“I’m not going to lie, it was exceptional. It was like sweet almond milk. I’m not going to use it in my cereal or anything like that, but a couple sips though, it was solid. Brother you should try it.”

Hart and his wife, Shannon Phillips, welcomed twin boys last month â€” with the 28-year-old guard nearly missing the Knicks’ season-ending loss to the Heat in Game 6 of the Eastern Conference semifinals.

“So it wasn’t that bad?” Smith asked.

“Naw, it was smooth,” Hart responded.

“… I wasn’t going to [try it]. I was really against it, but you know what I mean, it happened. I’m not mad I did it. It was solid.”

A curious Smith added, “So Josh Hart is now synonymous with breast milk,” adding that he’s “alright” with that.

“If I shoot 45 percent from three it might be because of that,” Hart said. “You might see that be a new trend my brother. I might be a trendsetter.”

Smith had Hart on his show during Denver’s eventual 104-93 win over the Heat in Game 1 on Thursday.

It came a day after the “First Take” host ranted about Hart’s breast milk tweet on his podcast, “The Stephen A. Smith Show.”

“I’ve never been inclined to taste breast milk,” Smith said at the time. “I like breasts. You don’t have to be a baby to like breasts…

“However breast milk is a different matter. He asked that question and I’m like, ‘damn Josh, what the hell.'”

Hart’s tweet drew responses from other NBA stars, including his teammate, Jalen Brunson, Pelicans veteran CJ McCollum, Kings point guard DeAaron Fox, as well as ESPN personality Dan Orlovsky.

“Nah bro no BS delete my number,” Brunson wrote.

“Sick conversation,” McCollum tweeted with a crying-laughing emoji. “Heard it goes down like almond milk.”

Hart’s now-viral tweet sparked debates on NBA Twitter and the sports talk show circuit.
