Patrick Mahomes is getting after it this offseason.
Mahomes and his wife, Brittany, took in the Luke Combs concert at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City on Sunday night.
“Just ain’t nothing like a country concert🤠,” Brittany wrote on Instagram in a photo with herself, her husband and the country singer.
The Chiefs quarterback even got up onstage during a rendition of “Brand New Man,” a song Combs collaborated on with Brooks & Dunn several years back, belting out the words and even shotgunning beers alongside the frontman at the conclusion of the tune.
It was a busy week for Mahomes, who last Monday put a stop to his star tight end Travis Kelce from making impromptu remarks at the White House podium as the Chiefs were celebrating their Super Bowl victory with President Biden.
“So I’ve been waiting for this …” Kelce said, as Mahomes made a B-line to cut him off.
On his podcast with his brother, Eagles center Jason Kelce, Travis revealed what he had planned to tell the country.
“Obviously, the president, at the podium, it’s iconic, and how he addresses the public — to my fellow Americans. That’s all I wanted to say, dude,” Travis said.
Jason was mildly surprised that was it, asking, “That’s all you wanted to say?”
“That’s it,” Travis replied. “I shouldn’t have started off with ‘I’ve always wanted to do this.’”
