Paulina Gretzky has arrived at Royal Liverpool, though it won’t be a long stay.
The daughter of hockey legend Wayne Gretzky took to her Instagram Stories on Thursday to share a selfie from the 151st Open Championship, where her husband, Dustin Johnson, is competing.
Dressed in a white long-sleeve crop top and dark pants, the 34-year-old Gretzky completed her look with a white beanie that appeared to have “River” written across the front.
Gretzky and Johnson, 39, have two young sons together, Tatum and River.
Johnson, who tied for 10th at last month’s U.S. Open, kicked off Thursday’s opening round by shooting a 3 over for a total of 74.
He followed that up with a disastrous 81 on Friday that puts him near the bottom of the leaderboard and he will certainly miss the cut in the season’s final major.
His best finish at the British Open was in 2011 when he tied for second.
American Brian Harman is currently atop the leaderboard at 10-under, followed by Englishman Tommy Fleetwood at 5-under and Antoine Rozner of France at 4-under.
Despite a disappointing performance at The Open, Johnson has seen immense success on the course this year.
The former Masters champion — who is in his second season on the LIV Golf circuit after defecting from the PGA Tour last summer — won the team competition at the Saudi-backed circuit’s most recent event, a tournament in London this past month.
Johnson serves as the captain of 4 Aces GC, which is comprised of Pat Perez, Patrick Reed and Peter Uihlein.
He earned over $35 million in winnings last year after joining the rogue league for “around” $125 million.
Johnson, who married Gretzky last April, recently remarked he’s “happy exactly” where he is following last month’s bombshell news of a pending merger between LIV and the PGA Tour.
“I think with this agreement, the only thing that’s going to happen is LIV is going to get even better than what it is now, which it’s already great,” Johnson said in June, according to Sports Illustrated.
“I’m happy exactly where I am, and I’m definitely not looking to play more golf than I’m playing now, that’s for sure.”
