The life hack this mother-of-four swears by to keep her kids from bickering
Kellie Henry has four kids, so there are times when the arguing gets pretty intense.
Like when they can’t agree on what show to watch on TV, or who gets to have their favourite meal at dinner that night, or when two kids want to sit in the front seat in the car.
Sick of the noise, Kellie devised the most clever hack we’ve ever seen, and it even gets her kids to help her with chores around the house.
Each child gets assigned a day of the week.
With that day of the week comes both power and responsibility.
“We go youngest to oldest. Monday through Thursday, on their day, they have extra responsibilities, but they also get special treatment,” she explained.
“So on their day, they know they have to empty the dishwasher, take out the rubbish, they have to feed the dog. Anything around the house, if I might need extra help that day, they have to help me.
“But they also know, they get special treatment that day. They get to choose their seat in the car that day, they get to say the family prayer, they get to help me choose what we’re making for dinner that night.”
“It’s been working for our family so well for over a year now,” she revealed in the viral TikTok.

Kellie’s hack is pretty genius for big families, but it would work for as few as two kids.
Each kid gets a day of the week, and that’s their chore and special treatment day, rinse and repeat. It’s clever because it sets kids up to feel like chores aren’t punishment because they get a reward for taking responsibility for their part in the family.
Followers loved the hack.
