Here’s why the lululemon Chargefeel 2 sneakers are the best I’ve ever worn

Buying something new is always nice, but buying a new pair of sneakers gives us that especially high serotonin boost like no other.

Especially if we’re talking about white sneakers (you know, the crisp pair that’ll give you that desired pep-in-your-step strut, whether you’re running on the track or running errands).

However, if you have flat feet like me, finding supportive soles is your primary mission. Not only do you want support — regardless of your foot shape — but you’ll also want a sneaker that’s trusty, comfortable for all-day wear and looks chic and optimal with any outfit you choose, be it a workout set or your favorite leggings with pockets.

Enter the lululemon Chargefeel 2 Sneaker. Much like the brand’s original pair of Chargefeels (that we reviewed, BTW), they’re specially designed for on-the-move, as is the case with plenty of lululemon’s offerings — from sports bras to tennis skirts.

OK, I’m just going to say it — this pair of sneakers is worth every penny and is the most comfortable pair of sneakers I own. It’s a tall order, but lululemon meets my needs with flying colors.

lululemon Chargefeel 2 Sneaker: How we tested

As soon as the lululemon Chargefeel 2 Sneakers were delivered, I immediately put them on to go on a walk (I kid you not). Before diving into my full review, here’s a bit more insight into how I tested:

  • How they performed during walks and runs: I made it a mission to be active in my lululemon Chargefeel 2 Sneakers to the max. That said, I went on countless 30-minute walks and runs for a few days to really get my feet used to the shoes
  • How they felt: From noting my first impressions to feeling how they withstood wear over time, I looked
  • How they fit: Of course, you’re going to want to find shoes that are true to size and feel secure. These are aspects I kept in mind while testing.

As mentioned, I hold the lululemon Chargefeel 2 Sneaker to a high regard. They’re extremely comfortable, have a supportive sole and all-around feel and — drumroll please — are breathable even on the most humid of days.

Specifically, these shoes are designed for running and training, but I find they’re versatile enough for a mid-day walk. Even on uneven terrain, they held up well and didn’t falter. Oh, and its fully white design is one that’ll match with several outfits and activities, though they’re also available in sage green and black hues.

Something I appreciate, though I’m typically a US 8 in sizing, is its quite generous size range. Offered in US 5 to 12 sizes, you’ll feel secure with its laces — that don’t untie or become loose over time — and appreciate its “bounce for running” and “agility for research,” as lululemon notes.

Listen, I’ve tried out a variety of sneakers and brands — from Allbirds and APL to Nike and Vessi — and can attest these are, by far, the most comfortable. A close second is Vessi, but this pair stands out to me a bit more because of its taller fit, helping to hide most socks (even ones that aren’t no-show!) and prevent blisters way more, given they cover your ankles.

The brand also has a pair of the Chargefeel 2 Low Workout Shoe ($138), should you prefer a not-as-high fit (though I’m personally obsessed).

I’ve also tested and reviewed the lululemon blissfeel Sneakers and, while those are comfortable to wear as well, they’re a bit more rugged and meant for hiking and extremely uneven terrain. This is partly because they’re the brand’s first road-to-trail shoes and not inherently designed for light-as-air sprinting and hopping to and fro.

Above all else, I adore the Chargefeel 2’s sock-like feel, thanks in large part to its supportive knit upper that wraps around your foot for added stability. Its dual-foam cushioning adds to its marshmallow-soft acclaim, helping to propel your stride further.

Additionally, its mapped outsole grips at the sole help provide total traction for all movements, giving you full support for heel-to-toe movements and lateral movements alike. Oh, and this is one of lululemon’s most well-researched offerings yet; the brand has been conducting research for four years and “a million foot scans,” according to the brand, impressively.

Pros:

  • Most comfortable sneakers I’ve worn
  • Great for all-activity wear
  • Breathable, suppportive and secure fit with a chic look

Cons:

  • They may not be the best for extremely rainy and severe weather conditions due to the pair’s sock-like fit
  • The price may be on the higher side for some shoppers

The bottom line

I highly encourage you to pick up a pair of the lululemon Chargefeel 2 Sneakers. They’re everything I look for in a sneaker and are well worth the investment. Not to mention, they help support your feet in the best way possible (three cheers for foot health!) and are a purchase you’ll be glad you made for any activity.
