Daredevil couple dines at table hanging 295 feet in air above rapid waterfall: jaw-dropping video
At this table, you can eat your cookies — and toss ’em, too.
Daring diners can enjoy a jaw-dropping meal while seated at a picnic table suspended 295 feet in the air, dangling over a picturesque waterfall.
The stomach-churning endeavor was conquered by Christianna Hurt and her rapper beau, who goes by OnpointLikeOp, or O.P. for short.
Hurt, 28, told MailOnline she was looking for “different” activities to do in Brazil, and stumbled upon the high-flying dining experience offered by Rota Adventura.
The adventure company hypes the experience as “a non-traditional picnic in the middle of the most beautiful waterfall there is.”
The thrill-seeking lovebirds first drove dune buggies and then walked on foot to reach the famed Cascata da Sepultura waterfall, she explained.
There, the pair were strapped into harnesses before sitting at the table, which was connected to a zipline on the fall’s edge.
Once they were suspended hundreds of feet above the water, they unpacked their picnic basket full of cheese, crackers, sandwiches and fruit.
However, the 15-minute experience — which ran the pair about $450 and included death-defying snaps and drone footage — wasn’t about the food; it was all about the breathtaking view.
“The experience is more about the scenery, not the food,” Hurt said, adding that it was “a piece of cake.”
The courageous couple shared a video from the trip in an Instagram post captioned, “We can take this s – – t to different heights.”
Still, some viewers couldn’t stomach the footage.
“Oh hell no a big HELL NO, but happy for you,” one person wrote.
“Ppl playing with their life too much,” another said.
“Buggin,” another simply put.
Note: Rota Adventure offers more than extreme waterfront dining. Thrill-seeking tourists can also go bungee jumping off cliffs above rocky bodies of water (even while holding a small child in your arms) and dive into an abyss of clouds.
