It is unclear what led to Bryan’s arrest, but the Sooner State native said his “emotions got the best of me” in a statement posted on social media.

“Today I had an incident with the Oklahoma Highway Patrol. Emotions got the best of me and I was out of line in the things I said,” he wrote.

“I support law enforcement as much as anyone can, I was just frustrated in the moment, it was unlike me and I apologize. They brought me to jail, and there is a mug shot of me floating around,” he continued.

Bryan released his self-titled album last month, which includes his first No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, “I Remember Everything” featuring Kacey Musgraves.

The singer-songwriter, who hails from Oologah, OK, got his big break uploading songs to YouTube.

One tune, “Heading South,” about his time serving in the US Navy, eventually went viral.

His debut album, “DeAnn,” was released in 2019. “Elisabeth” dropped in 2020.

He released his first major-label album, “American Heartbreak,” last year.

He made his Grand Ole Opry debut in 2021 and received the Academy of Country Music Award for New Male Artist of the Year this year.
