I see ‘American Idol’ judges in my ultrasound: pregnant woman
Did Simon give her baby a golden buzzer?
A Georgia woman joked that her baby will be on “American Idol” after reportedly spotting the faces of original judges Simon Cowell and Paula Abdul in her ultrasound.
“I was like, ‘wow, I can see it,'” Haley Huseby, 29, who’s a huge fan of the US talent show, told Kennedy News of her unusual celebrity doppelganger sighting.
The Kennesaw native had reportedly undergone a scan for her oven bun on August 28, and, like with many expectant mothers, was “excited” to share the pics with her mom, Heather Pizzolato.
That’s when the grandmother-to-be noticed something peculiar in the scan.
“Then she sent it back and said, ‘oh my gosh, Haley — tell me you see it. It’s Simon Cowell and Paula Abdul,'” exclaimed Huseby.
For the uninitiated, Cowell was the longest-serving judge on “American Idol,” where he served from when the show aired in 2002 to 2010.
Meanwhile, Abdul judged the show alongside him for eight years from 2002 to 2009.
Huseby quickly saw what her mom was talking about. “I’m pretty good at seeing faces in things, so I could immediately see it,” she gushed. “I was looking at it and I could see Simon Cowell on the left, doing his scowl. On the right, I could see the profile of Paula Abdul with her bangs and her bun.”
Accompanying pics show a facsimile of the curmudgeonly British judge’s head seemingly attached to the image of the baby.
Meanwhile, Abdul’s disembodied noggin is seen floating the black space above it.
“She [her mom] said I was growing a future American Idol baby in there,” gushed Huseby. “It’s such a funny thing to immediately notice.”
The mom-to-be was especially overjoyed as she and her mom were “American Idol” super fans, having watched the show since Kelly Clarkson won the first season in 2002.
The humorous incident had fans in hysterics on Facebook with one viewer writing, “No way! So the baby has to be a Simon or Paula then.”
Another quipped, “They’re already judging your baby!”
“That’s … really random. Have you picked out a name?” A third inquired. “Because, ‘I was named Simon after the disembodied personified face of my foot nub’ is going to be their interesting personal fact for the rest of their life.”
Huseby was glad her observation resonated. “I was very glad that people could see it too,” she said. “I was going to feel really silly if it was just me and my mum.”
She added, “When the baby’s old enough, I’ll [show it to them and] be like, ‘this is who you looked like in there.'”
