Bill Belichick isn’t the only NFL head coach with Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift dating jokes.
During his post-game press conference Sunday after the Chiefs thrashed the Bears, 41-10, Kansas City coach Andy Reid joked he was the one responsible for setting up his star tight end with Swift.
“You know what, I’ve met her before,” Reid said.
“I set them up. I’ll just leave you with that,” he added with a smile before leaving the podium.
Reid’s comments left the reporters in stitches.
It was an exciting afternoon at Arrowhead Stadium, where Swift cheered on her rumored beau in Kelce from a suite with his mom, Donna.
The 12-time Grammy winner even yelled, “Let’s f–king go,” when Kelce scored a touchdown in the third quarter of Kansas City’s blowout win.
Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes was seen standing with Kelce on the sidelines and waving in the direction of the box.
After the game, Mahomes explained why he felt pressure to get Kelce the ball with Swift in attendance.
“I heard she was in the house,” the two-time MVP told Fox Sports’ Erin Andrews. “I felt a little bit of pressure and so I knew I had to get it to Trav.
“I think he wanted to get in the end zone just as much as all the Swifties wanted him to.”
Mahomes also praised Swift in his post-game press conference.
“She’s tremendous at everything she does,” he said. “I haven’t got to meet her, but if she ends up being with Travis then I’ll probably get to meet her at some point.
“She seems like a good person, so hopefully I get to meet her one day.”
Mahomes added that Kelce casually slipped the news to him on Friday that Swift was planning on attending the game.
Kelce and Swift, both 33, were seen walking together in the back hallways of Arrowhead Stadium before the two-time Super Bowl winner drove off with the singer in his convertible.
They enjoyed a post-game meal at a local Kansas City restaurant, according to reports.
The Chiefs visit the Jets on Oct. 1 for “Sunday Night Football.”
Swift has an apartment in New York, where she’s been spending time with friends while she’s on a break from her “Eras Tour.”
