You should break out your detective kit to decipher how Bucks heiress and the rumored girlfriend of Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers, Mallory Edens, felt about the trade that brought Damian Lillard to Milwaukee.
Edens certainly left it up for interpretation when she shared to her Instagram story an ESPN post about the trade and above it the face with steam coming from the nose emoji.
According to dictionary.com, the emoji is “used to express a variety of emotions, ranging from frustration to pumped-up passion about a particular topic.”
Considering the addition of Lillard should make the Bucks an even more feared team this season, her reaction is likely leaning toward the more positive end of the spectrum.
The Bucks acquired Lillard in a blockbuster three-team trade, which included the Trail Blazers and the Suns.
As part of the deal, Portland will get Jrue Holiday, Deandre Ayton, Toumani Camara, a 2029 unprotected first-round pick from the Bucks and the right to swap picks in 2028 and 2030.
The Suns received Jusuf Nurkic, Grayson Allen, Nassir Little and Keon Johnson.
Since news of the deal has gone out, the Bucks’ odds to win the NBA title this season have skyrocketed, with DraftKings Sportsbook listing them at +360 — leapfrogging both the Boston Celtics and the defending NBA champs, the Denver Nuggets.
Edens is the 27-year-old daughter of Bucks owner Wes Edens and has been linked romantically to Rodgers since January.
The model and former Division I athlete made an appearance at MetLife Stadium in August for Rodgers’ preseason debut with the Jets when they faced off against the Giants.
Edens also posted a heart emoji in response to an Instagram post Rodgers made following his season-ending injury.
The Bucks are slated to begin their preseason schedule on Oct. 8 against the Bulls and kick off the regular season on Oct. 26 with a matchup with the 76ers.
