Weird But True

Comedian travels 150 miles to confront serial heckler — 10 years later

Internet hecklers beware.

Keyboard warriors are apparently no longer safe hiding behind a screen: A Canadian comedian gave an internet troll the ultimate comeuppance after traveling 150 miles across the UK to confront him where he worked, as seen in an X video with over 1.7 million views.

“Revenge is a dish best served cold ten years later,” the vengeful funnyman, named Bobby Mair, captioned the clip, first reported by local media in Birmingham.

According to the post, the epic revenge saga began ten years ago after the comic was heckled at while performing in Birmingham.

“Some guy shouted out ‘chicken wire,'” recalled Mair, who said he “got off stage and assumed that was the end of it.”

Little did he know, this was just the beginning of a decade-long trolling decathlon.

“Every time I post on my Facebook fan page for the last 10 years he comments and he writes ‘chicken wire,'” lamented the comic, who included screenshots of the barbs as proof.

Fortunately, Mair was finally able to figure out the identity of his anonymous troller after he mistakenly used his real name.

The comic subsequently looked up the digital heckler on LinkedIn, whereupon he discovered that the Brit worked at the Merry Hill Shopping Centre in Dudley, some 150 miles away.

So Mair decided to embark on an epic revenge pilgrimage and drive all the way to the guy’s place of business to get even — like a comedy version of the revenge epic “Count Of Monte Cristo.”

Accompanying video shows the fed-up Mair walking up to his ten-year tormentor and shouting “chicken wire” at him repeatedly in front of the man’s co-workers.

“I win you lose!” yells the bedraggled comic, before turning to the onlookers and explaining that his revenge bid is “years in the making.”

“He’s been trolling me for ten years,” he declared as the bystanders burst into guffaws.

The commentariat was impressed at Mair’s epic revenge prank.

“Outstanding. Well played sir,” gushed one fan, while another wrote, “This could be a Netflix series.”

A third quipped, “Wire you so mad?”

However, a third thought that the chicken wire troll was still ahead on the trolling scoreboard. “You won a battle, he’s winning the 10-year war thus far,” they declared.
