Hamas terrorist recounts in horrifying detail how he slaughtered women and children in Oct. 7 massacre: ‘Our mission was to kill’
A Hamas terrorist admitted in haunting detail his role in killing women and children during the Oct. 7 massacre in Israel, according to a new interview video.
Omar Sami Marzuk Abu Rusha, a member of Hamas’ Nukhba special forces, was seen discussing his murders in a video released by Israel’s Shin Bet internal security department on Wednesday.
Abu Rusha told the interrogator that he was among the forces deployed to Kfar Aza, near the Gaza border, tasked with a single purpose.
“Our missin was to kill. We were not supposed to kidnap, only to kill,” he said. “To kill every person we see and come back.”
As he recounted his role in the mass murders that left more than 1,400 dead, Abu Rusha noted the harrowing moment he and his fellow gunmen slaughtered a group of children hiding from them.
“We checked the house and heard the sounds of young children in the safe room. We shot at the safe room … until we didn’t hear noise anymore,” he said.
The haunting admission is the latest released by Israel after the Jewish state vowed to destroy Hamas through continuing airstrikes and ground incursions into Gaza.
Abu Rusha, who was filmed sitting in the corner of a white room beside an Israeli flag, discussed the methodical way in which he and his unit ambushed the residents of Kfar Aza.

“We moved in the first house. We checked it and there was nothing there,” he said. “Hamzeh A-Zarad burned the exterior room, set it on fire.
“Then someone came out towards the garden in the back with a water hose — Abu Ahmed and Hamzeh saw him, shot at him and killed him,” Abu Rusha said of the heinous trap his allies set.
The terrorists repeated their actions across the village, with Abu Rusha saying they fired at one woman sheltering inside her home.
“We went to the third house. There was a woman inside. Hamza killed her, he shot her,” he said.
He assured the interrogating officer the woman was killed even though the terrorists never entered the home to check.
After massacring the children in the safe room next, Abu Rusha said he and his unit were caught in a shootout with responding IDF soldiers, with the terrorists tossing grenades.

The fighting lasted only 10 minutes before the gunmen surrendered.
Like the previous terrorist interviewed by Israel, Abu Rusha said he was aware Islam forbids the killing of women, children and seniors, but said that Nukhba officers still gave them the order to kill everyone.
The captured terrorist then admitted that his parents were unaware that he’s a member of Hamas.
“If my father sees me, he will shoot me,” he said. “He will kill me … because I did those actions.”
After being shown images and video of Hamas brutality on Oct. 7, the terrorist also said his group was no different from ISIS.
