Wife and 21-year-old alleged lover arrested in love-triangle murder of her husband in California
A woman and her young lover have been arrested in the murder of her husband — who was found stabbed to death in California last month, according to police.
Parwiz Assar, 51, was found dead with multiple stab wounds in Hayward in Alameda County around 10:20 p.m. on October 8.
His wife, 35-year-old Hayward resident Razma Mohammad-Ibrahim, was taken into custody last week and charged with his murder, the Hayward Police Department announced.
Her alleged lover, 21-year-old Samim Azizi, was arrested in connection to the killing in Seattle, Washington on Oct. 31, cops said.
He is being held without bail at the King County Jail and is awaiting extradition to California.
Mohammad-Ibrahim and Assar had been married for 12 years, but had been experiencing marriage problems, according to police. The pair share children together.
She met Azizi around December of 2022 and the pair started an intimate relationship.
Police said the two conspired to kill Assar so they could be married and Mohammad-Ibrahim would be left with full custody of the kids and all of the family’s assets, police said.
Since her arrest, the children have been staying with family, according to police.
Mohammad-Ibrahim is being held without bail at the Santa Rita County Jail. The murder is still under investigation.
“Our thoughts are with the family and loved ones of Mr. Assar as they continue to grieve during this difficult time,” Hayward Acting Police Chief Bryan Matthews said in a statement.
