Tommy DeVito player props: What oddsmakers expect from Giants rookie vs. Saints

Andiamo Tommy DeVito.

The Giants’ rookie quarterback has a taste for the theatrical and has been the toast of the town for a few weeks now.

He has also won three games as a betting underdog, including an impressive “Monday Night Football” showing against the Packers that earned him NFC Player of the Week honors.

Oddsmakers are suddenly beginning to show him some respect.

DeVito’s rushing prop was just 16.5 last week, but rushing for 71 yards in a primetime win will see that jump accordingly.

The over/under has nearly doubled, going all the way up to 29.5 rushing yards for Sunday’s matchup against the Saints.

DeVito nearly got into the end zone against the Packers, falling at the one-yard line.

Passing Yards: 178.5 -114 (BetMGM)
Rushing Yards: 29.5 -110 (Bet365)
Passing touchdowns: Over .5 -213 (Caesars)
Anytime touchdown scorer: Yes +500 (FanDuel)
Interception: Yes -129 (BetRivers)

DeVito threw for fewer passing touchdowns than oddsmakers expected, though.

His over/under was set at 1.5 with juice to the over at -160. DeVito threw just one touchdown, a scrambling touchdown in the back right of the end zone.

This week, his passing yards total stays consistent, sitting in the 170s both weeks.

But oddsmakers are lowering expectations, where one passing touchdown comes in at -213.

Despite not throwing an interception in three straight games, oddsmakers at BetRivers are giving him a 56.33 percent chance at throwing one to the other team on Sunday.

That is probably a fair number, considering the Saints have intercepted opposing quarterbacks 14 times, the third most in the NFL.

New York comes into Sunday’s tilt in New Orleans as consensus 5.5 point underdogs.
