Mitchell Robinson is torn up about his latest injury setback.
The Knicks center’s recent ankle surgery is expected to sideline him for the rest of the season, The Athletic reported Wednesday, and he seemingly confirmed it in a Snapchat post Thursday.
“I just don’t get it… I do everything I’m asked when it comes to my body and this s–t still happens like wtf,” Robinson wrote. “Another year another disappointment.”
Robinson, 25, was originally expected to miss eight to 10 weeks.
The Knicks will greatly miss Robinson’s defensive prowess and rebounding; he leads the NBA this year with 5.3 offensive rebounds per game.
Robinson, who’s in the second season of a four-year, $60 million contract, missed significant time each of the last two seasons due to foot and hand injuries.
The Knicks are also without center Jericho Sims, who will be reevaluated in seven to 10 days after suffering an ankle injury Monday against the Lakers.
That leaves No. 2 center Isaiah Hartenstein and the recently re-signed Taj Gibson.
