Talk about making a splash.
Ree Drummond revealed she and her husband Ladd skinny-dip in their new hot tub at their Oklahoma home multiple times a week.
The “Pioneer Woman” cooking show host shared a little bit of TMI Friday on her blog, claiming the couple shred their clothes and enjoy the hot tub at the home they built at the end of summer “three to four evenings a week.”
“The only complication, and I’m sorry if this is too much information, is that because we aren’t swimming pool people, neither of us owns a bathing suit,” Drummond, 54, wrote. “So we waited till dark because I’m shy about my body, traipsed across the yard wrapped in towels, and inched our way into the 103-degree water in our birthday suits. It was absolute bliss—warm, bubbly bliss.”
However, the Food Network host assured readers that the water is “way too hot” for any kind of “middle-aged Harlequin country romance.”
“We may be naked, but we typically just sit in the heavenly water, stare up at the smog-free sky, talk about our hopes, dreams, concerns, and fears…and laugh at the dogs,” she said of the pair’s two basset hounds, who she claims are “confused” because “they’ve never even seen [Ladd] without a shirt.”
“It’s been three or four months, and they still can not understand why a) mom and dad are naked, b) mom and dad crawl into a water hole in the ground and stay for 20 minutes, and c) mom and dad are naked,” Drummond added.
The Post has contacted reps for Drummond for comment.
Ree has been married to Ladd, a cattle rancher, since 1996.
She celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary in 2021 with a sweet tribute to him on Instagram.
“It’s been a wild adventure, and we’ve experienced the joys, pains, ups, downs, triumphs, sadnesses, and unexpected twists and turns. (And kids! 🤓),” she wrote alongside photos from their wedding. “That whole ‘love’ thing — the love that deepens, expands, and becomes more firmly rooted over time — is definitely there.”
The couple share daughters Alex, 26, and Paige, 23, sons Bryce, 21, and Todd, 19, and foster son Jamar Goff, 21.
In a 2017 interview with People, Ree credited faith as a factor in their successful marriage.
“This isn’t the answer for everybody, but we go to church together every Sunday. It’s something that we do no matter what comes up. No matter how tired we are. I’ve seen the times that we’ve slipped away from that, and disaster is lurking in the bushes,” she said.
