I discovered a hack to get McDonald’s chicken nuggets extra crispy
This order came out McCrispy.
McDonald’s customers revealed a new menu hack to get chicken nuggets extra crispy.
Makel, who goes by @xomakel2 on TikTok, initially disclosed the hack online last February, but Tommy Winkler, who runs The Food Guy, put the food hack to the test in a stitched clip posted on Dec. 14 with more than 6.9 million views.
In the 38-second video, Winkler pulled up in the McDonald’s drive-thru and ordered a 10-count nugget meal — but he added a special request.
“Could I do your 10-piece McNuggets?” he said in the clip. “But could you do those extra crispy?”
He nervously looked at the camera, fearful the employee will deny him the ask, but they replied, “OK,” and proceeded to make the meal.
Winkler, 22, was impressed by the visual appearance of the crispness. He took a bite of the coated chicken, which made a loud crunching sound.
Winkler rated the extra crispy 10-count nuggets an 8.4 out of 10 in the viral clip.
The Post reached out to McDonald’s for comment.
Another food guru, Kevin Uznanski, known as @lord_cappuccino on TikTok, also indulged in a crispy chicken nugget order.
The New York-based influencer experienced the same results as Winkler and felt quite impressed with the offering.
“These might be the best nuggets I’ve ever had at McDonald’s,” he said in the clip.
However, Uznanski ordered his 10-piece nugget meal as “well done” instead of extra crispy. The fast food restaurant menu board reflected his unique request, possibly emphasizing the hack’s recent popularity.
While the food-loving content creators savor the crunchy nuggets, many people online are opposed to the deep-fried menu item.
“That means they are TRIPLE fried. No thanks, I like my arteries and heart,” commented one person.
“Real simple, they just took [the] already fried nuggets and dropped them in the fryer again,” added another.
