Did Travis Kelce drop that four-letter “L” word while ringing in 2024 with Taylor Swift?
Some Swifties and internet sleuths were convinced the Chiefs tight end told the “Cruel Summer” singer he loves her in a blurry video of the couple at a New Year’s Eve party in Kansas City, which surfaced on social media after the Chiefs’ 25-17 win over the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday.
Although Kelce could be seen saying something to Swift in the now-viral clip, which featured a kiss between the couple, the footage is too blurry to determine what was actually said, per numerous professional lip readers, TMZ reported on Tuesday.
It came after Kelce and Swift nearly broke the internet with their sweet smooch on the dance floor at the New Year’s Eve bash.
The 12-time Grammy winner was seen with her arms around Kelce’s neck, while he held her by the waist.
The couple, which went public with its relationship in October, posed for a group photo with Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes and his wife Brittany at the party.
It’s unclear where exactly the New Year’s Eve bash took place.
Kelce and Swift were photographed on a drive in the All-Pro’s $400K Rolls-Royce Ghost in Kansas City on Monday in photos obtained by The Daily Mail.
Prior to the party, Swift attended the Chiefs-Bengals game solo at Arrowhead Stadium.
The 34-year-old pop star sported her signature red lip and a Jeff Hamilton-designed Chiefs varsity jacket ($850) with leather sleeves — which was nearly identical to the one Kelce, also 34, wore on Christmas Day from the same designer.
Swift was also in attendance for the Chiefs’ 20-14 loss to the Raiders on Christmas Day, and brought her mother, Andrea Swift, to the game.
The couple reportedly spent Christmas together with their families at Kelce’s newly purchased $6 million mansion.
Kelce and Swift were first linked when she attended the Chiefs-Bears game on Sept. 24 ,but she recently told Time magazine that they were a couple before then.
Kelce previously explained that he tried to shoot his shot with Swift at her “Eras Tour” concert, in July, but was “butt hurt” when he learned that she doesn’t talk before and after shows in order to preserve her voice.
They were eventually connected by someone from Swift’s camp, according to Kelce, and the rest is history.
