Drew Barrymore breaks down crying over Adam Sandler at home — and he reacts

Cue Billy Idol’s “White Wedding.”

Drew Barrymore broke down in tears over her longtime friend Adam Sandler on Wednesday — all because she caught a viewing of their movie “The Wedding Singer” on TV.

The talk show host, 48, documented staying home to catch the 1998 rom-com, even bailing on prior yoga plans that she had.

“I love you so much @adamsandler. The Wedding Singer came on my TV as I was getting ready to leave the house and I had to take in this moment and watch it,” Barrymore captioned her Instagram post.

“We made such a good movie, I love you so much, Happy New Year,” she said in the video, wiping away tears. “What year is it that we met in the newsroom? 1922?”

The “Never Been Kissed” actress panned to her television screen to reveal her character, Julia Sullivan, getting serenaded by Sandler’s Robbie Hart in the emotional airplane scene where he sings “I Wanna Grow Old With You.”

In the Instagram comments, Sandler reacted: “Love u always Drew. Happy New Year.”

Sandler, 57, re-created the song when the pair appeared on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” in 2014. Sandler and Barrymore initially performed a pre-rehearsed “Every 10 Years” song before Sandler went off book and began to sing some lyrics from the movie’s song, bringing Barrymore to tears once more.

“The Wedding Singer” also starred Christine Taylor, Allen Covert, Matthew Glave, Angela Featherstone, Alexis Arquette, Ellen Albertini Dow, Christina Pickles, Jodi Thelen and Frank Sivero.

Last year, Barrymore teased a potential reunion ahead of the film’s 25th anniversary, noting she and Sandler were “talking about it.”

“I think it’s time too. We’re looking. We’re definitely actively looking,” she told Entertainment Tonight. “We did talk about how we were like, ‘Oh it’s coming up on 10 years.’ We talked about some ideas and we’re definitely in. It’s percolating.”

The “Grown Ups” actor and Barrymore went on to star in 2004’s “50 First Dates” and 2014’s “Blended” together.
