The bizarre saga of Tyreek Hill’s divorce is over.
Court records in Broward County, Florida show that the Dolphins’ star wide receiver had filed to drop his divorce petition on Jan. 30 and the case has since been “dismissed, settled or disposed before hearing,” according to TMZ.
This shouldn’t come as a surprise since Hill had denied that he and his wife, Keeta Vaccaro, were splitting up after divorce filings were made last month by Hill’s attorney.
Hill said that he had never given anyone the go-ahead to file divorce papers and said later that week, after news outlets had picked up on the story, that he “fired the f–king bonehead” who made the error.
“I just gotta say that it sucks, a lot of our stuff is public record, but behind closed doors a lot of people got fired too for just doing things without our ‘yes’,” Hill said during a Twitch livestream. “It sucks that me and my wife gotta go through that. Like yeah, public records says it and right now we’re in a spot of fixing it. I fired the f–king bonehead that did that mistake. Now it sucks.”
Hill and Vaccaro have maintained that they have a happy marriage since the divorce filing and Vaccaro accompanied the NFL wide receiver to the Pro Bowl last weekend.
The two got married in November during the Dolphins’ bye week in a ceremony in Texas after being engaged since 2021.
Hill had talked about the surprise of it all when he met with reporters after the team returned from the bye week.
“I was like, ‘Babe, we’ve been engaged so long, are you ready to tie the knot?’” Hill described. “It kind of caught her off guard. She didn’t believe me because we’ve been engaged ever since 2021. It was like, ‘OK, let’s go do it.’ She was like, ‘Show me you’re for real.’ And we did it.”
