Posh Spice doesn’t “Wannabe” a grandmother just yet.
Victoria Beckham had a hilarious reaction when asked by Vogue if she is “excited” to become a grandma.
“Jesus. What? Woo. Hang on,” Beckham, 49, replied in a video published Friday, fanning herself off at the thought of the idea.
“I don’t think it’s happening just yet unless you guys know something that I don’t. It’s not happening just yet.”
The fashion designer continued, “The last time I was with [Vogue editor] Anna [Wintour] I was like, ‘Anna, what do your grandchildren call you?’”
“And she said to me, ‘Anna,'” Beckham laughed.
“And I was like, well that is very elegant, so maybe I’ll take that route,” she said.
“But it’s not happening just yet. But, you know, hopefully, one day if I am blessed, then that would be wonderful. But we’re not there just yet.”
The jokingly flustered pop icon again quipped, “Christ, it’s hot, guys. It’s hot in here. What’s happening?”
Victoria and her husband of 24 years, David Beckham, are parents to sons Brooklyn, 24, Romeo, 21, Cruz, 18, and daughter Harper, 12.
Brooklyn married actress Nicola Peltz Beckham, the 29-year-old daughter of model Claudia Heffner and billionaire businessman Nelson Peltz, at her family’s home in Palm Beach, Florida.
Rumors that Victoria and Nicola couldn’t stand each other while planning the wedding swirled around until Nicola debunked them for good in August 2022.
Victoria spoke highly of Nicola to Vogue ahead of her daughter-in-law’s in her new movie “Lola,” which the nepo baby wrote, produced, and stars in.
“I think Nicola is wonderful and I think that she’s so talented,” Victoria, who dressed Nicola in her brand for the film premiere, gushed.
“She’s so passionate about what she does, and her and Brooklyn make each other super happy and that is wonderful to see. As a mother, all you want is for your kids to be happy, right?”
