Conspiracy theorist accused of brandishing father’s severed head on YouTube is hit with terror charges
The Pennsylvania conspiracy theorist accused of decapitating his dad and then flaunting his head in a sick online video has been slapped with terrorism charges for allegedly planning an attack on federal buildings.
Justin Mohn, 32, had a 9mm handgun and a USB device that included photos of federal buildings and apparent instructions on making explosives when he was arrested Jan. 30, the Bucks County District Attorney’s Office announced Thursday.
He was hit with a slew of charges, including three counts of terrorism, making terroristic threats, robbery, criminal use of a communication facility and receiving stolen property, officials said.
Mohn was also charged with theft by unlawful taking and defiant trespassing after he allegedly stole a car — his dad Michael Francis Mohn’s Toyota Corolla — and entered the National Guard Training Center, according to the filing.
He was already being held without bail at the Bucks County Jail on charges of first-degree murder, abuse of a corpse and possession of an instrument of crime.
Mohn allegedly shot his 68-year-old father in the head at his home in Levittown using a 9mm Sig Sauer he had bought legally the day before the horrific beheading last month.
He was accused of decapitating his dad with a knife and a machete — and posting a rambling video on YouTube holding the plastic-wrapped head, officials said.
Mohn’s mom had come home to find her husband’s headless body, with the head in a cooking pot.
The suspect was arrested after breaking into the National Guard facility about 100 miles away — saying he was there to “mobilize the National Guard to raise arms against the federal government,” District Attorney Jennifer Schorn has said.
The gruesome video remained online for several hours and was viewed by at least 5,000 people before it was removed, she said.
Schorn has declined to comment on the possible motive for the heinous crime, but noted that the rambling video featured threats to target and capture all federal employees — and even shared the address of a federal judge along with a bounty on him.
Mohn reportedly said his dad, an engineer with the geoenvironmental section of the US Army Corps of Engineers’ Philadelphia District, “is in hell for being a traitor to his country.”
The suspect also espoused a variety of conspiracy theories.
He called himself the commander of America’s network of militias as he ranted against migrants, the Biden administration, the LBGTQ community, Black Lives Matter, and “far-left woke mobs.”
Mohn called for the killing of FBI agents, IRS employees, US marshals, federal judges, border control officers and others “betraying their country,” officials said.
He published twisted songs and books about Satan, stalkers and corrupt presidential candidates — along with descriptions of killing his family in “America’s Coming Bloody Revolution.”
The FBI said it is supporting the district attorney’s investigation.
The Bucks County Public Defender’s Office, which is representing Mohn, told The Post on Friday that it had no comment.
