Patrick Mahomes, wife Brittany celebrate daughter Sterling’s 3rd birthday after Super Bowl win
Patrick Mahomes and wife Brittany are celebrating their almost 3-year-old, daughter Sterling Skye.
The longtime couple threw daughter Sterling a butterfly and tea party-themed bash over the weekend, one week after Mahomes led the Chiefs to their third Super Bowl title in five seasons.
Joined by Mahomes’ mom Randi, brother Jackson and sister Mia, among others, Sterling — who turns 3 on Tuesday, Feb. 20 — played around in a bounce house and took a few turns down the slide, according to video of the festivities shared on social media.
“We celebrated our Sterling Skye today!” Brittany exclaimed Sunday on Instagram. “I can’t even believe we will have a 3 year old in just a few days! Time flies when you’re having fun! We love you baby girl.”
Mahomes and Brittany, both 28, helped the birthday girl blow out the candles on her blue cake, which featured animations of butterflies, flowers and watermelons scattered throughout.
They also posed for family photos with Sterling and her younger brother, 1-year-old Patrick “Bronze” Lavon III, who arrived in November 2022.
Mahomes’ family traveled to Las Vegas last week, when the Chiefs defeated the 49ers in Super Bowl 2024, a 25-22 overtime win at Allegiant Stadium.
He threw for 333 yards, two touchdowns and an interception en route to a third Super Bowl MVP.
“This season was a special one! This guy never stopped believing in his team…through the ups and downs and all the doubters, never once did he doubt this team,” Brittany posted Tuesday on Instagram.
“He is a true leader and a team player. He continued to ask himself what he could do better to lead this team to the Super Bowl. I saw so much behind the scenes that I will forever be in awe of you as a person and a football player! You my guy deserved this!!! I love you and am always and forever proud of you.”
Mahomes and Brittany have been together since high school.
They will celebrate their second wedding anniversary next month.
