A stylish downtown loft owned by German-born model Katrin Thormann and top real estate broker Nick Gavin has entered contract for more than its $4.75 million asking price after just a week for sale, Gimme Shelter has learned.
The four-bedroom, four-bath condo where Little Italy meets Chinatown is at 136 Baxter St. The couple had resided in the building since 2016 when they paid $2.57 million for a two-bedroom, 2½-bath, sixth-floor duplex. They sold that unit for $3.75 million in 2021, which is how much they paid for this one that’s now in contract.
Gavin, of Compass, was the listing broker for both units. Since they moved into this building, the couple’s family has grown to include two children — and they are now heading to a Greenwich Village townhouse.
That said, the 2,600-square-foot loft is a two-unit combo. It comes with original details such as 13-foot-high pine ceilings, exposed beams, oak floors, and brick and cast-iron columns. The home also features a double-wide living room and seven windows overlooking Baxter Street, as well as a chef’s kitchen, custom closets and whitewashed walls.
The mystery buyer is domestic.
Neighbors in the building include actor Norman Reedus of “The Walking Dead,” who owns a penthouse.
Gavin is known for his roster of A-list clients. They include the model Karlie Kloss and Joshua Kushner, Jared Kushner’s brother — and race-car champ Lewis Hamilton, when he sold his $50 million triplex penthouse at 443 Greenwich St. in Tribeca. Gavin also repped Jennifer Gates, who bought Hamilton’s unit, as Gimme Shelter exclusively revealed.
