Taylor Swift and a tight end not named Travis Kelce hold special places in Robert Kraft’s heart.
In a new video that surfaced Saturday on social media, the Patriots owner spoke to a group about a pinnacle moment in the pop superstar’s career at Gillette Stadium and her romance with the 34-year-old Chiefs star.
“Her first stadium concert was on my birthday in 2010, June 5. We convinced her and her family that she could sell out a stadium,” Kraft, 82, said Saturday at World Champion Sports Cards in West Palm Beach, Fla., per a video shared by the X and Instagram user @shotbystefon.
“So when she came to view the Chiefs play the Patriots this year at Gillette, I gave her a framed ticket from that concert, June 5, 2010, think about it, she was 18, 19, and she’s done pretty well since.”
Swift, who supported Kelce during the Chiefs’ Dec. 17, 2023, road win over the Patriots, performed in New England as part of her Fearless Tour, which ran from April 2009 through July 2010.
Months before the Chiefs-Patriots game, Swift, 34, performed in Foxborough in May 2023 as part of her blockbuster Eras Tour, which is currently in Sydney, Australia.
As Kraft continued the conversation, he quipped about Swift: “Maybe she should have been dating Gronk [Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski],” adding, “He’s better looking.”
Kraft was celebrating National Trading Card Day with Topps Hobby Rip Night on behalf of Fanatics.
Rob Gronkowski, a four-time Super Bowl champion, spent the first nine seasons of his NFL career with the Patriots, who selected the former Arizona tight end 42nd overall in the 2010 NFL Draft.
It was during his time in New England that Gronkowski, 34, met girlfriend Camille Kostek, a former Patriots dancer and current Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model.
In response to the Kraft video, fans took to X to hype Gronkowski’s relationship with Kostek, 32, which began in 2015.
“Gronk is all-set,” one fan wrote on X. “He is living with the beautiful Camille Kostek.”
A separate X account posted, “Gronk has Camille. He doing alright.”
Though Gronkowski initially called it a career after the 2019 season, he returned a year later to play for the Buccaneers with his former Patriots teammate, quarterback Tom Brady.
The two won a Super Bowl with Tampa Bay in February 2021, defeating Kelce’s Chiefs, 31-9.
Gronkowski retired again in 2022.
Kelce, meanwhile, is still riding high following Kansas City’s Super Bowl 2024 win in Las Vegas earlier this month.
He celebrated the 25-22 overtime victory against the 49ers with Swift, kissing the Grammy winner on the field at Allegiant Stadium.
Kelce visited Swift this week in Australia — where he took in an Eras Tour show – before returning to Las Vegas over the weekend to party with Patrick Mahomes.
They have been dating since last summer.
