Popular comedian, political commentator and former “Daily Show” star Trevor Noah — who nailed it again as last month’s Grammy Awards host, defending Taylor Swift against her sporty haters — has been apartment hunting in the West Village.
Noah (whose second book, “Into the Uncut Grass,” publishes in October) made a splash selling his Hell’s Kitchen penthouse at Stella Tower for $9.5 million last year. He took a hit on the property, which he bought for $10.18 million in 2017 and then gut-renovated. (He also took a $1 million loss on his Bel-Air, Mark Rios-designed mansion, which he bought for $27.5 million in 2020 and sold for $26.39 million in 2022.)
One of the NYC homes Noah recently toured is a three-bedroom, three-and-a-half bath unit asking $7.4 million in The Shephard. The former warehouse building at 275 W. 10th St., which dates to 1897, is already home to actor Jason Biggs as well as Stephanie March, of “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit” fame.
The 10th-floor, 2,200-square-foot corner residence boasts a chef’s kitchen, a primary bedroom suite (with a dressing room and spa-like bath) and interiors by Gachot Studios.
Design details include oversized arched windows, barrel-vaulted ceilings, custom millwork, built-ins, oak herringbone floors and views of the Hudson River, the Statue of Liberty and Hudson Yards.
Residents in the high-end building also have access to a basketball court, a gym, a pilates studio, a golf simulator, a screening room, a children’s playroom, an art room, a paneled library, an arcade and pingpong club room, and a landscaped courtyard garden.
