Knicks fans revel outside MSG in unreal scene after wild Game 2 win

Euphoric scenes erupted outside of Madison Square Garden after the Knicks picked up a shocking Game 2 victory over the 76ers, which included scenes of costumed fans crowd surfing and ecstatic supporters already looking ahead to a potential Eastern Conference final matchup.

The throngs of fans spilled onto Seventh Avenue after a wild sequence in the final 40 seconds of the game lifted the Knicks to a 104-101 victory in their opening round series on Monday night.

In one video, fans were chanting and jumping in unison just outside the main entrance of MSG.

Video also shows Knicks fans chanting “Go New York, Go, New York, Go” in an ode to the popular Knicks theme song.

In another, fans could be heard chanting “DiVincenzo,” after Donte DiVincenzo had hit the go-ahead 3-pointer in the closing seconds of the playoff contest.

As if the crowd wasn’t amped enough, a costumed fan could be seen crowd surfing as fans around the individual chanted “Knicks in four.”

Video also showed the costumed fan and another person dressed as Spiderman dancing in a crowd of Knicks fans outside MSG.

The Knicks hold a 2-0 series lead for the first time in a playoff series in over a decade.

But the two straight wins even had Knicks fans already looking ahead and chanting “We want Boston” outside of Madison Square Garden after Tuesday’s win.

The Celtics are still early in their own series with the Heat, though they do have a 1-0 lead.

Fans had chanted “We want Boston” after the win in Game 1 on Saturday night as well.

The series shifts to the hostile Wells Fargo Center in Philly on Thursday.

“It was loud as hell in there,” DiVincenzo told reporters after the game about the atmosphere inside Madison Square Garden.
