Chrissy Teigen wears neck brace ahead of Met Gala 2024 — here’s what happened
Should she glue a flower to it?
Chrissy Teigen sported a neck brace ahead of the 2024 Met Gala on Monday — and opened up about her injury via Instagram Story.
“@ the Met,” she wrote over the photo.
“I tried to do a headstand,” she went on in a separate Story.
Teigen appeared to be wearing a full face of makeup as she rested on a couch after the reveal.
“Oh my God, I’m fine. Everybody’s reaching out. I’m OK. It’s just a CVS neck band. I just can’t rotate my neck because I tried to do a headstand and it didn’t go well. That’s all,” she later noted on her social media account. “There’s no story. That’s it. I promise.”
“This is not why I’m not at the Met. I was never going to the Met this year. Please, I’m so stupid for making this a thing. I’m sorry.”
This year’s Met Gala co-chairs include Zendaya, Jennifer Lopez, Bad Bunny and Chris Hemsworth, and the theme is “Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion.”
Earlier in the day, the model also shared a text she sent to her doctor. “I couldn’t take my blood test because I had eaten bacon wrapped dates,” she noted to her 42 million followers. “My doctor has had it with me.”
The “Cravings” author was last photographed in the Big Apple on May 3.
One day earlier, she and husband John Legend also made it a date night at the King’s Trust Global Gala hosted by Global Ambassadors Lionel Richie and Edward Enninful OBE. Teigen opted for a sleeveless, shimmering black gown with intricate lace detailing at the time. She accessorized with statement earrings.
Teigen and the musician met in 2009 on the set of his “Stereo” music video. They married in 2013 and share four children — daughter Luna Simone, 8, son Miles Theodore, 5, daughter Esti Maxine, 15 months, and son Wren Alexander, 10 months.
