Tom Brady had plenty of ring jokes ready for Bill Belichick at the QB’s Netflix roast on Sunday — and it went beyond the extra one he earned with the Buccaneers.
The legendary quarterback, 46, referenced a Ring video that circulated on social media in November that showed a man — who looks like the 71-year-old Belichick — leaving a house shirtless in the morning.
“Everybody asks me which ring is my favorite, I used to say ‘the next one.’ But now that I am retired, my favorite Ring is the camera that caught Coach Belichick slinking out of that poor girl’s house a few months ago. Hey, you still go it. Respect baby,” Brady said while pointing in his former coach’s direction.
Belichick flashed an uncomfortable-looking grin but wasn’t exactly in hysterics as Julian Edelman put his arm around him.
“I’ve been out of the game for a minute, so I am curious how many Super Bowls have you won since I left,” Brady said about Belichick. “Maybe it’s not just the guy on the sidelines. When I go to the Indy 500, I don’t ask the winning driver who gassed up your car.”
Nothing was out of bounds during the Netflix special — aside from Robert Kraft massage jokes — as Brady was mercilessly dragged over his Gisele Bundchen divorce for three hours.
Belichick used his opportunity to take a dig at Brady’s relationship with trainer Alex Guerrero.
Guerrero’s close relationship with Brady was reportedly a point of contention for Belichick during the Patriots’ dynasty.
“People said me and Tom butted heads a lot. In a way that was true, but not really it was hard to butt heads with Tommy because it was so far up Alex Guerrero’s ass,” Belichick said in one of the funnier digs of the night.
It has been speculated that it was Belichick in the Ring video — it was a topic on “The Pat McAfee Show” — but never confirmed.
Page Six reported in September that Belichick and longtime girlfriend, Linda Holliday, broke up after “a drawn-out, back-and-forth breakup for nearly a year.”
Belichick was spotted with a mystery brunette at Contessa Italian restaurant in Boston in March on what a tipster told the social media gossip account Deuxmoi “was definitely a date.”
Brady and Belichick won six Super Bowls together in New England before Brady left for the Buccaneers in free agency in 2020.
There have been reports since that it was Belichick who believed the Patriots would be better off moving from Brady, who promptly led the Buccaneers to a Super Bowl the following season.
Belichick and the Patriots parted ways in January after a disastrous 4-13 season.
His inability to land another NFL head coaching job this offseason was used against him during the roast.
