Manchester will be united in the States this year.
Johnny Marr and James — both natives of the aforementioned England city — are embarking on a 20-concert North American co-headlining tour this fall.
Along the way, the pair will stop in for one night at Brooklyn’s newly opened Paramount Theatre on Tuesday, Oct. 8.
This won’t be their first time touring together either; James opened for Marr’s band The Smiths on the group’s 1985 ‘Meat Is Murder Tour.’
“We admired them and even did one of their songs in our set,” Marr said recalling the tour in a press release. “I’ve been a fan of theirs ever since and being out on tour again after 40 years is a really great thing.”
We look forward to making magic together,” James’ lead singer Tim Booth added.
And if you can’t wait to see these ’80s icons reunited, tickets for all Marr and James shows can be scooped up as early as today.
Fans can now purchase tickets on sites like Vivid Seats; the official on-sale is Friday, May 10.
Vivid Seats is a secondary market ticketing platform, and prices may be higher or lower than face value, depending on demand.
They have a 100% buyer guarantee that states your transaction will be safe and secure and will be delivered before the event.

Johnny Marr new music
Last year, Marr dropped a Best Of compilation featuring all the hits from his storied career.
What we’re most interested in though is his 2022 release “Fever Dreams Pts 1-4.”
Comprised of 16 pulsing tracks, Marr shows off his gifts for straddling the line between hard rock and jangle pop.
While the record is “no skip” level good, we can’t help but recommend three standout tracks that showcase Marr’s musicianship- the soaring “Lightning People,” the rocking yet danceable “Sensory Street” and nimble, poppy “Night And Day.”
Don’t sleep on the opening track “Spirit Power and Soul” either; it’d fit right in at a haunted house/crossfit hybrid if that makes sense.

James new music
Just this year, James released their 18th studio album “Yummy.”
Unsurprisingly, the veteran rockers haven’t lost a step.
Album opener “Is This Love” is a feel good singalong that sets the tone for an inventive, dreamy, atmospheric record that sounds like a bizarro world version of The Killers.
Piano heavy “Shadow Of A Giant” is a surprise diversion from the band’s straightforward indie pop sound as they land on something that sounds brand new and familiar all at once; “Mobile God” evokes otherworldly bombasity.
Make sure to stick around for the album closer “Folks,” too. It’s the perfect melancholy capper to the unpredictable yet always satisfying “Yummy.”
