Knicks’ Jalen Brunson has second-highest points total prop in NBA playoffs history for Game 2

Jalen Brunson is reaching historic levels of scoring dominance for the Knicks in the NBA playoffs.

DraftKings Sportsbook told The Post that Brunson’s points total for Game 2 — set at 37.5 as of Wednesday afternoon — is the second-highest playoff number in DraftKings’ history.

The only higher total was on May 2, 2021, when Stephen Curry had a pregame point total of 38.5 (he ended with 39), with the Klay Thompson-less Warriors facing the Grizzlies in a play-in game.

Brunson’s player prop projection is also tied for the sixth-highest pregame points total in NBA history (since DraftKings began offering the market in 2016), including the regular season.

Brunson has gone over his points total in five straight games enter Wednesday’s tilt with the Pacers at Madison Square Garden.

His run started when his projection was 28.5 in Game 3 against the 76ers, which he easily cleared in a 39-point showing in a loss in Philadephia.

That is Brunson’s lowest points production during this incredible five-game stretch, where he has since rattled off four games of 40-plus point showings.

DraftKings told The Post that Brunson’s player prop overs have been 11-3 since the beginning of April, which is an incredible run for the Knicks superstar.

Interestingly enough, Brunson’s under 37.5 is the most bet-on player prop (-120) on DraftKings among entire NBA prop market.

Bettors think this is getting out of control, but is it?

Brunson was 14-for-14 from the free throw line Monday, and has cleared 46 percent shooting in every game since he caught fire after Game 2 against the 76ers.

Brunson was also just 1-for-4 from 3-point range in Game 1, leaving room for him to score more points through the Pacers’ porous defense.

Indiana has the worst defense among all teams that reached the postseason.

As Brunson continues to vault himself to the pinnacle of Big Apple athletes, the Knicks find themselves as five-point favorites at home against the Indiana Pacers.
