Chris Pratt’s ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ stunt double Tony McFarr dead at 47

Tony McFarr, a Hollywood stuntman for Chris Pratt, has died. He was 47.

McFarr’s mom, Donna, told TMZ her son died at his home outside Orlando, Fla., on May 13.

The family reportedly doesn’t know the cause of death yet.

Donna said McFarr was “active and healthy” and described his passing as “unexpected” and “shocking.”

The Orange County Medical Examiner confirmed to TMZ that they are running toxicology tests on McFarr.

McFarr is survived by his parents, his sister and his daughter. He will be buried near his grandmother in Pennsylvania, according to TMZ.

McFarr was a stuntman on various movies, including “Dawn of the Planet of the Apes,” “The Hunger Games: Mockingjay — Part 1,” “Captain America: Civil War,” “Pitch Perfect 3” and “Ant-Man and the Wasp.”

He also did stunts for television shows like “Bones,” “Teen Wolf,” “Homeland” and “The Walking Dead.”

The first time McFarr doubled Pratt, 44, on the big screen was for 2015’s “Jurassic World.”

McFarr continued to do stunts for Pratt in “Passengers,” “Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom” and “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2.”

Pratt gave McFarr a shoutout on Instagram in June 2016.

The actor shared a photo of the pair in costume as Peter Quill/Star-Lord on the last day on set of “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2.”

“Here’s me and my stunt-man Tony McFarr (also Tommy Harper stunt coordinator and our first AD Lars Winther) on set. Been working with Tony since Jurassic World. Love you buddy! Happy wrap!” Pratt wrote.
