Pitbull reacts to ‘Bridgerton’ using his song ‘Give Me Everything’ for raunchy carriage scene
Warning: Spoilers below!
Mr. Worldwide has arrived!
Pitbull has responded on social media about his 2011 hit song being featured in one of the hot and steamy scenes in “Bridgerton” Season 3: Part 1.
“This again shows the world how music is the international language that transcends over boundaries more so how a hit song can remain timeless,” Pitbull, 43, wrote on X. “Thank you @bridgerton and @netflic for the opportunity, Dale! @NeyoCompound @afrojack.”
The orchestral version of “Give Me Everything,” composed by Archer Marsh, is played during the nearly three-minute scene.
Bridgerton’s official account on X responded to the artist, naming him Lord Worldwide.
In the fourth episode, Colin Bridgerton (Luke Newton) and Penelope Featherington (Nicola Coughlan) get frisky in a carriage.
Right before the scene, Penelope’s proposal from Lord Debling (Sam Phillips) crumbles after Colin interrupts their dance and tries to figure out his feelings for her. After Penelope leaves the ball and heads home, Colin runs after her.
Countless social media videos have been made since Part 1 of the season aired on Netflix, with most about the sexy “Polin” carriage hookup.
“My man Colin Bridgerton ravished Pen in the privacy of a carriage even though there was no one to force him to marry her for ‘compromising’ her honour. Homeboi did it knowing full well he had to propose to her after that, bc he WANTED TO, not bc he HAD TO,” one fan posted on X.
Another fan posted a TikTok video with the caption “THE. CARRIAGE. SCENE.👀🔥,” while writing: “How many times have you watched the carriage scene? Me: YESSSS.”
“This is for the HORNY LITTLE DEVILS that we are 😂❤️🔥🫠 Nicola Coughlan and Luke Newton react to the carriage scene 😘❤️🔥 I’m still stuck with that scene 🫠🔥,” another viewer wrote on TikTok.
Newton and Coughlan gave insight about the scene during a recent interview.
“So we were doing it and going ahead. And then you start keep going, and you’re like ‘this feels like it’s quite long,’ ” Coughlan said while speaking with “Access Hollywood.”
“And then Andrew came to the door and he was like, ‘What were you doing? I was shouting cut cut.’ And we just hadn’t heard it,” she recounted.
Other songs featured in Part 1 include “ABCDEFU” by Gayle, “Happier Than Ever” by Billie Eilish and Taylor Swift’s “Snow on the Beach.”
“Bridgerton” Season 3 focuses on Penelope, who has a long time crush on her friend Colin. After Colin starts giving her lessons to help find her a husband, he catches feelings too.
Julia Quinn, who wrote the books that the show is based on, told The Post that their friends-to-lovers trope was “the hardest to plot” because of their long history.
Part 2 of Bridgerton Season 3 will premiere on Netflix June 13.
