Justin Timberlake’s high-profile lawyer breaks silence on Hamptons DWI bust, wants to see DA’s evidence
Justin Timberlake’s high-profile lawyer broke his silence Wednesday following the pop star’s drunken-driving bust in the Hamptons — and wants to see what prosecutors have on his client.
A rep for attorney Edward Burke Jr. said he’ll have a lot to say — at the right time.
“Mr. Burke looks forward to vigorously defending Mr. Timberlake against these allegations,” the statement said. “He will have a lot to say at the appropriate time.
“He is currently awaiting full discovery from the DA’s office.”
Timberlake, 43, was busted by cops in Sag Harbor shortly after midnight Tuesday after police said he blew through a stop sign and swerved while behind the wheel.
The pop star declined to take a blood-alcohol test three times after being taken to the Sag Harbor police station, where he was charged with drunken driving. He was released without bail after his arrangement.
The former *NSYNC member and movie star was pulled over after having dinner with friends at the historic American Hotel on Monday night, sources told PageSix.
Cops pulled over his gray 2025 BMW and said the pop star’s eyes were glassy and bloodshot and that he smelled of alcohol — then failed field sobriety tests and was arrested.
Timberlake has been mum since the bust.
On Tuesday, his wife, actress Jessica Biel, was spotted returning to work in the Big Apple for the first time since her hubby’s arrest and was on the set of “The Better Sisters.”
Biel, 42, has been married to Timberlake since 2012 and the couple has two children.
Sources said Timberlake was stumbling drunk at the American Hotel and even guzzled another patron’s drink while at the famed Sag Harbor haunt.
Meanwhile, Timberlake’s ex, Britney Spears, posted a bizarre Instagram message late Tuesday with a cryptic photo of a fruity cocktail — just hours after the DWI bust.
The Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office did not respond to a request for comment.
