Jazz guard Talen Horton-Tucker’s house burglarized, lost $170K worth of jewelry

The home of an NBA player was broken into and thousands of dollars worth of jewelry were taken.

NBA guard Talen Horton-Tucker had his Los Angeles home burglarized with the thieves making off with $170,000 worth of jewelry, according to TMZ.

Horton-Tucker was not at the property at the time of the break-in and a house sitter was the one who called the police upon discovering what had happened.

So far the crooks remain at large, but police are actively investigating the crime.

Part of the break-in was captured on camera, the report stated, and the footage showed the thief entering the property by hopping over the back fence and exiting by using one of the side yards.

It’s the second break-in to occur to an NBA player in the Los Angeles area this month after the home of former player Patrick Patterson was burglarized at the beginning of the month.

That incident was also captured on video and two men entered the property of Patterson wearing ski masks and black gloves.

In that instance, no one was home at the time of the alleged crime as well.

Police were said to be actively investigating that crime as well when it was first reported by TMZ.

Horton-Tucker has spent the past two seasons with the Jazz after starting his career with the Lakers, who traded for him during the 2019 NBA Draft after the Magic selected him with the 46th overall pick.

The guard appeared in 51 games last season for the Jazz and started in 11 of them.

Horton-Tucker averaged 10.1 points per game on 19.8 minutes a game.

He also pulled down 2.8 rebounds per game and had 3.5 assists.

Horton-Tucker had been part of the Lakers squad that won an NBA title in 2020.
