Biden slammed over Twitter account touting Pride Month — and not July 4: ‘Shameful!’
President Biden was roasted like a hot dog at a July 4 cookout Thursday over his official X account’s banner — which still touted Pride Month and failed to acknowledge the nation’s 248th birthday until after The Post inquired about it.
“Biden’s July 4th profile banner is still all about pride month🏳️🌈🏳️⚧️🏳️🌈🏳️⚧️Shameful !’’ one X user ripped.
Another person wrote, “Can someone please let Biden know #Pride month is over.”
Some users on the social media site took a verbal swing at the president’s aides — who have had their hands full trying to fend off calls for the head of their 81-year-old boss since his disastrous debate against GOP election foe Donald Trump last week.
“On July 4th, ‘Happy Pride Month’ is displayed from the banner of the POTUS’ X account. Biden’s handlers are getting sloppy,’’ one user wrote.
Another person took a swipe at White House staffers who tried to partly explain away Biden’s debate issues — which included a hoarse voice, stumbling over words, and lost trains of thought — by claiming he was recovering from a cold.
“People who are criticizing President Biden for still having the pride flag up on the Fourth of July should stop. Remember, he still has a cold,’’ the user wrote sarcastically.
The White House did not immediately respond to a Post request for comment Thursday, but the banner on the X account was changed at some point Thursday afternoon to one that read “Happy Fourth of July” with depictions of fireworks and the presidential seal.
The account also included two posts Thursday noting Independence Day, with one reading: “Happy Independence Day, America! May God bless you all. And may God protect our troops.”
